These pins can fail due to metal fatigue and heat building up within the wiring harness and the device. This will cause the pins to spread open just enough to make intermittent contact and cause a variety of miscellaneous errors and issues with the device ramping up to temperature etc. Replace this connector FIRST before going to more costly repairs like circuit boards and heating elements.
